The Maverik Protocol introduces an innovative infrastructure in decentralized finance. Powered by a ground-breaking Automated Market Maker (AMM), it aims to foster highly liquid markets for traders, liquidity providers, DAO treasuries, and developers.
The protocol’s dApp, available on the Ethereum mainnet, allows functionalities like swaps and creating liquidity pools. A self-custodial wallet and tokens are prerequisites. Maverik’s AMM is distinguished as Defi’s first Dynamic Distribution AMM, which heightens capital efficiency by automating liquidity concentration as per price movements. This results in enhanced market liquidity, translating to superior prices for traders and amplified fees for liquidity providers.
Liquidity shifts are governed by the Time Weighted Average Price (TWAP) of a pool. The contract adjusts the TWAP post the initial swap in a block and decides on liquidity movement based on each movement mode’s guidelines. Notably, liquidity providers don’t bear gas costs when their liquidity is auto-shifted by the AMM contract. However, situations like low trading volume or insufficient static liquidity in a new pool might affect the regular movement of liquidity.
Adding liquidity for the first instance mints a Maverik Position NFT, which consolidates all LP balances. The user’s wallet holding this NFT governs the associated liquidity. On the transaction side, users can select from multiple fee tiers when they add liquidity, ranging from 0.01% to 3%. The protocol astutely routes swap requests to the optimal sub-pool, ensuring traders get the most favorable price.
