Yield Guild Games (YGG) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) focused on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within virtual worlds. It aims to form the globe’s most extensive virtual economy and distribute revenues among stakeholders. Founded by Manila-based game studio with leaders like Gabby Dizon, involved in Axie Infinity and Yearn Finance Communities, it also counts on Beryl Li, an entrepreneur with a strong background from Cambridge University and CapchainX, and Owl of Moistness, a proficient blockchain developer. Nolan Manalo spearheads their gaming operations.
Distinctive Features of YGG
YGG’s main revenue stems from NFT assets utilized directly or via a rental system. This model permits guild members to employ these assets and share in-game rewards with YGG. Non-guild members can also benefit by engaging in economic activities on in-game land owned as NFTs. The increased economic value of these assets translates to their NFT market value. Additionally, there’s a play-to-earn mechanism, rewarding users with native tokens for their in-game actions.
Security Protocols
To ensure the protection of assets and activities, YGG created a subDAO. Assets within this subDAO remain under the safeguarding of the YGG treasury, managed via a multisignature hardware wallet, guaranteeing optimal security.
