What is Qtum?
Qtum, pronounced ‘quantum’, is an innovative blockchain platform that uniquely combines the strengths of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Launched in 2016, Qtum is a proof-of-stake (PoS) smart contract blockchain with a focus on value transfer and app development. Its main chain went live in September 2017, following a successful ICO that raised $15 million USD.
